Adult Lessons

The Experience:

Lessons are given in our indoor or outdoor arenas and on trail rides for adult riders. We teach riders from beginner to advanced level, catering to their personal experience and confidence. Every lesson takes an individualized approach aiming to increase each rider's horse riding skills, confidence and theory knowledge, whilst maintaining a focus on safety and fun. We carefully match horse and rider to give our clients the best experience they can.

For adults, we conduct both group and private lessons for beginners through to competition riders. Riders can use on of our riding school horses or bring their own. Our adult group lessons are held week nights, during school hours and on weekends. Private lessons are held during the day on weekdays. We also run trail rides frequently on weekends and during the week, click here for more information. We focus on different skills and horse riding disciplines throughout the term, where many riders experience dressage fundamentals, basic jumping skills, polo cross, trail riding, sporting games among others.

Come and brush up on your riding skills in a lesson situation or book a leisurely trail ride. We are always excited to welcome new clients to our riding school. Want to bring a friend along? Semi-private lessons are a great way to learn a new skill with a friend!

Important Information:

Adult riders wanting to join a group lesson will need to have a 1/2 hour private assessment lesson first before booking, if they've not ridden with us previously. This is to ensure that riders are correctly placed in a lesson suited to their level of experience and skill.

Please note that our advertised riding times include mounting, safety gear check and dismounting. For inexperienced riders, a 10 minute session is conducted at the beginning of the ride to help everyone on, go through safety and basic riding skills.  This is included in the duration of your ride.

Please ensure that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled lesson time so that your ride can start on time and also for the consideration of other riders. For new clients or if you have not visited us before, plan to arrive at least 20 minutes early to be fitted with riding boots, helmets and finalize any paperwork.

Due to safety concerns for both horse and rider, the maximum weight for riders is 100kg.

Please note that all riders must sign a current liability waiver before riding. These can be collected either at the office or online here.

If you are unable to ride in your regular lesson we ask that you phone and cancel your spot at your earliest convenience. In the case of a pre-planned event we require 48 hours notice and in the case of illness we require notice no later than 9am on the day of your lesson. If we do not receive this notice we will require you to pay for the booked lesson in full. Please also inform our office staff each week whether you intend to ride the following week or not.

Please note that our term lessons may have a waiting list to join groups. Please email or call us if you are interested in our lessons with more information about your riding experience & availability. If we have vacancies we can organise booking you in, otherwise you may be put onto our waiting list.

As horse riding is dangerous sport, if you have any medical conditions or disabilities please discuss with our team prior to booking a ride with us. This information is asked to ensure that your condition will not impact your safety whilst participating in exercise on horseback. You may be asked to provide medical clearance or complete an assessment lesson as appropriate to ensure your safety before joining into a group trail ride or lesson.
